Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway, Classic Vehicle Day, Toddington Station
Date(s) - 10/06/2012
Combine the scene of historic road transport with a backdrop of vintage trains and you have a very special event. Our Classic Vehicle Days provide you with just that when Toddington Station car park is covered with classic cars, motorcycles, commercials, buses
We usually have around 120 of these beautifully restored reminders of days-gone-by motoring. Cries and sighs of ‘ I (or my Dad) used to have one of those’ are constantly heard so come and indulge yourself in some great transport nostalgia. There is no charge to come and view, just a ticket to buy if you decide to ride a train.
As an added attraction on Sunday June 10th we are delighted to announce that The Indigo Kings – a locally based jazzy blues group will be performing 2 sets in the Flag and Whistle at Toddington. This group has been inspired by 1930s jazz clubs and the songs combine great swing rhythms with Chicago style blues and a sprinkling of vintage pop. This is going to be a tremendous addition to what is already going to be a marvellous day out.
If you are a classic vehicle owner and wish to participate, then please download an entry form and get it off to Jim Clarke. Trade stands are also welcome for which there is also an entry form to download. Please be on site by 10.00am and we request that you stay in position till at least 4.00pm
